Membership Information

Fox Valley Chapter of Wisconsin Early Childhood Association

Membership in professional early childhood associations helps build better futures for young children, for early childhood professionals, and for the community.

Fox Valley Chapter of WECA Membership

Membership in Fox Valley Chapter of WECA is obtained through the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (WECA), a statewide affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). When you join WECA you also become a member of NAEYC and Fox Valley Chapter of WECA.

To become a member of the Fox Valley Chapter of WECA, simply join NAEYC. Your WECA and FVCW memberships will be processed at the same time through NAEYC. Register once and become a member of three professional early childhood organizations!

NAEYC offers several membership options, so there's sure to be one for you. Choose from Entry Level, Standard, and Premium membership; each of which provides membership and benefits on the local, state, regional, and national level. Discounts for groups of 50 are available beginning September 15, 2017.

Also beginning September 15, 2017, NAEYC is offering a Family membership for people outside of the early learning profession, such as parents and other family members!

Membership Benefits

Joining FVCW, WECA and NAEYC provides you with community, voice and support at the local, statewide and national level.

Community

Make connections with fellow early childhood professionals! Connect with your local early child community at Fox Valley Chapter events. If you're already an active member, consider taking the next step and help plan or volunteer at an event. Become an early childhood leader by chairing a FVCW committee or serving on the Board. Connect with early childhood communities beyond your back door by attending a WECA training or Annual Conference, or exploring NAEYC's Interest Forums to meet colleagues across the country who share your specific early childhood passion. It's time for the early childhood community to come together, starting with you!

Voice

Have your voice heard at local, statewide and national levels! Fox Valley Chapter provides information about current child advocacy and public policy initiatives, and ways you can participate in the advocacy efforts that interest you. In Wisconsin, WECA advocates for you by engaging state policymakers through legislative visits, ongoing communications, and special forums. WECA also keeps you "in the know" through Forward for Kids emails which focus on early childhood research, policy news and advocacy actions. In D.C. and beyond, NAEYC advocates for you by spearheading U.S. Congressional outreach and national public awareness campaigns such as "America for Early Ed" and "Children’s Champions".

Support

Membership provides support through financial benefits as well as community connections and advocacy efforts. When you become a FVCW/WECA member you'll enjoy a wide variety of member-only discounts! Attend Fox Valley Chapter meetings and Tour of Centers for free and the Super Saturday Conference at a reduced cost. In addition WECA and NAEYC offer reduced fees for trainings, conferences, and other professional development opportunities, discounts on educational materials, professional resources and subscriptions to NAEYC professional journals, discounted Wisconsin Family Child Care membership, association-sponsored insurance plans, and much, much more. Visit WECA's membership page to see a complete listing of member benefits.
